Does Timberwood charge a fee for an initial appointment?
No. Initial consultations are free of charge. We do prefer to arrange an appointment with you over the telephone, in this way we can ensure that our services would potentially be the right fit for you.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before I meet with Timberwood?
No. In fact, it may be best to NOT have spent too much time trying to decide without the benefit of professional, experienced guidance that can assist you in the best direction for your circumstances.
I am looking to get rid of my lawn, should I stop watering it and let it die first?
No! PLEASE KEEP WATERING!! Why? Because in order to remove an undesired lawn area, which in most cases includes certain common grasses (like Bermuda, Kikuyu, or nutgrass), it needs to be killed off first in a way that prevents it from re-invading the new landscape. In order to do that the most practical method will be to use an herbicide that can only enter the plant through green, actively growing leaf tissue. A dormant (brown) lawn cannot be treated with herbicide to kill it. It is also much easier (and less dusty) to work with soil that has some moisture content present.
