Look no further! Go with Timberwood! From start to finish, Timberwood exceeded my expectations. Jonathan was knowledgeable about every aspect of landscape design.. plants, lawn, fencing, cement work, hardscape, etc Jonathan was extremely patient with me. I had a big decision to make..cut down a big tree and go with xeriscape or save the tree and put in a small lawn and plantings. I saved the tree, pruned it down to size, put in a small lawn and still got the paths and boulders and look I had envisioned with the xeriscape.. best of both worlds. Can't possibly count the number of passersby who stop to gawk and admire the beautiful design. Curb appeal to the MAX! At night, the lighting is awesome! In addition, I appreciated being told in advance what to expect the next day.. and that communication continued throughout the project -- which finished right on schedule. A month from completion, Jonathan continues to check on the landscape, sprinklers, my satisfaction, etc. Honest, professional, quality work! A delightful crew! A top-notch experience.

We reached out to Timberwood after having a landscape design developed by another firm. We liked the design and designer from the other company but didn't have a great experience with the company when it came time to move forward with the plans. When the owner, Jon Bolin, met with us, he pointed out some areas of the original design that wouldn't meet our goals of low maintenance and also some aspects that were unnecessarily increasing the cost of the project. He suggested some modifications that we really liked, and we moved forward with having him update the design and submit a quote. He gave us a price break on the design updates since we had already paid the other company for a design. His price was competitive with the estimates we had from the previous company. Jon's crew completed the entire installation in 4 weeks. Roberto and Angel were at the property nearly every day during this time and we were very happy with the work they did. They worked hard and were very polite whenever they needed anything from us. Some days, a larger crew came out, such as when the concrete was poured. This included oversight by Marty, who was also great to work with. Jon was on site several days each week to make sure things were going well, talk us through anything that had come up, and answer any questions we had. He was quick to identify and address anything that needed to be adjusted, such as moving a drip line to allow for AC installation we have coming up. We are very happy with the end result and have gotten many compliments on our new yard. Jon and the entire Timberwood crew were easy to work with. Jon communicated well throughout the process and once installation was done, came out the following week to talk us through maintenance and see how everything was looking. He has promised to come out again in 3 weeks to adjust the irrigation schedule once the plants are established. We definitely recommend Timberwood and will happily use them in the future if we need any additional work done.

We first met Jon shortly after we bought our new house. He was hired to landscape a hill on the side of our backyard. The product he created far exceeded our expectations and continues to receive praise from our guests that visit. Due to the wonderful work he did on that project we elected to bring him back a few years later to landscape our backyard. He built an amazing trellis, wall and garden along the side of our backyard. Again, his work exceeded our expectations. Most recently, we brought him back to landscape our front yard. Jon created a detailed plan based on the budget we set forth. As per usual, his work far exceeded our expectations. We have since referred our friends and family to his service due to the quality work he has provided us over the years. We don't currently have any more projects planned (due to Jon having completed them all), however if we did he would be our first call. Our experience with Timberwood was a 5+ from day one. Jonathan, the owner spent a great deal of time with us really listening to what we wanted, then made an excellent proposal that included everything. The experienced crew did detailed, quality work that included rebuilding a retaining wall ,installing an additional stucco wall, an irrigation system, and creating a sidewalk and steps that truly give our home curb appeal. Jonathan's knowledge of landscape architecture, horticulture and all of the engineering that goes into ensuring a quality job that will last for years to come made us totally confident that we hired the right company for the job. Jon s architecture/engineering skills combined with his design aesthetic resulted in a beautiful backyard that met our budget and fits our lifestyle. We recently moved into a home with a rear yard that had a challenging topography and had been severely neglected. The patio, irrigation system, lighting and all the plantings but a single tree could not be salvaged. Jon took all our wishes and needs into consideration, and created a backyard experience that is both practical and gorgeous to look at. We now have a great living and dining space, and a yard for our young children, all surrounded by a backdrop of low-maintenance but visually appealing plants. It looks fantastic during the day and sexy at night with cleverly placed accent lighting. We now have a wonderful outdoor living environment we enjoy every day. Timberwood just finished our backyard in my childhood home in Claremont. The transformation is amazing! We bought an existing home in Bonita, whose backyard had been neglected and quite frankly not only looked bad but the grading was terrible and drainage was virtually non-existent. Timberwood Landscaping just finished our backyard remodeling project and we could not be happier with the results. I interviewed 8 different Landscaping companies for the project. Timberwood was head and shoulders above the rest starting from the initial visit. Their proposal pricing was also very competitive. Our detailed project involved about 925 sq feet of lawn and 700 sq feet of concrete patio. It included removal of the existing shoddy lawn; installation of proper grading and drainage; irrigation system for lawn and plants; new lawn; new plant palette; removal of the existing cracked/worn/poorly graded concrete patio and replaced it with a new colored concrete patio in a deco store diamond pattern and a sidewalk . There was a new sitting wall installed and 4 column stucco bases around the patio columns to match the house and sitting wall. The existing worn gray colored planting walls were also painted to match our house. In all, there was about 925 sq ft of lawn and 700 sq feet of finished patio. Including the Planter areas. It was a comprehensive project. Timberwoods owner, Jonathan Bolin and his crew simply did a fabulous job. Jonathan and his Team's attention to detail was just great. He is a combination of an Engineer, Landscaper and Artist. He provided the most detailed exacting proposal of any of the landscapers in a timely fashion. The proposal detailed the work to be done. There were no surprises and the project was finished exactly within the time frame quoted. After working with us to see what our vision for the backyard look was, he provided a detailed CAD diagram of the proposed backyard for our approval. We made no changes, it was exactly what we envisioned. His attention to detail also included grouping plants not only for pleasing aesthetics but also by sun and water requirements with an eye towards low ongoing maintenance. We were kept in the loop every step of the way and always knew what the next step was going to be. We felt that Jonathan and his crew worked as if they were working on their own house. That was the level of caring. In today's cut-corners world, it is a real pleasure to observe skilled professionals who know and do their jobs extremely well. Kudos to Jonathan, Marty, Roberto, Sal and Angel as well as the other specialists Jonathan brought in as needed. Thank You for making our backyard vision a reality without breaking the bank. In summary, I would highly recommend Timberwood and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

For the past year or so, when passing my neighbor's house, I would always comment or say to myself "how incredible awesome this yard looks." Finally the day came where my wife and I got tired of both the high water bill and the associated lawn maintenance and decided to put in motion the rockscape/drought tolerant yard transformation. I used Timberwood Landscape to landscape my backyard this summer. They provided exceptional service from start to finish. My backyard was a blank slate for the most part, and I wasn't really positive what I wanted. Jonathan was extremely helpful in putting together a cohesive design that worked within my budget and requirements - I have a dog and he was mindful of that when choosing the components of the landscape. He was also very patient with me in picking out the plant and rock palette. After the job was completed, Jonathan checked back in with me to see how everything was going and came back to adjust the sprinkler and drip system to help reduce water waste due to the changing seasons.
